Jewel, close-up, (both photos by Michael Ryan)
Jewel, 4 1/2 feet wide by 12 inches tall, over 2000 watercolor paper circles painted, folded and edged with ink and glued to form spheres. This took 200 hours to make (2 weeks, about 14 hours each day).
A big Thank You to my supportive friends who came to my Open Studio this past weekend. And to my hubby for dressing up and keeping the wine glasses full. My fellow artists Melodi Cottongim and Marion Pollmann were, as usual, a delight to work with. Their work just keeps getting better every year. We enjoyed another very successful show. This was the 16th year. Wow!
